What is WRONG with people?

Dude. Food allergies CANNOT be cured with an over-the-counter medication. Treatments should ONLY be done under a doctor's supervision, if at all.

Somebody needs to pull this crap from the shelves, like, yesterday.

  2. What's very scary is that this is marketed as a catch all food allergy treatment. Allergies are very individual not only to the sufferer, but also to the allergen. You can't treat a tree nut allergy like a dairy, egg or peanut allergy. This has the potential to make things a LOT worse and make some people very sick.

The internet has made snake oil salesmen a possibility again and it's so sad.

  3. I recently found your blog from Swistle, and have a 6 month old with a milk allergy. Reading about this product makes me furious! If you click for more info, it tells you in bold that
"While this may make it a safer choice, those with severe
allergies must use the ALLERTHERAPY Treatment Method under doctor supervision". Do you think so???? I understand the idea which is along the lines of desensitization, right? But food allergies are life-threatening (unlike most people with seasonal allergies) so why would someone even risk it? I am at a loss. How did you find out about this stuff? And I agree--it totally should be shut down, even though they say that are registered with the FDA as homeopathic. The kicker is that they have a 30 day guarantee--you can send it back for whatever reason. That's reassuring--what if your kid winds up in the ER? WTH. Sorry this is so long!

  4. Ok.. even on the off chance that this product itself doesn't make you, or your loved ones sick... how are you going to "test" to make sure it's working and that you're "cured?" Like you really want to just trust this and then give your child some bites of their allergen to see if it works... Good God!

  6. I guess I am in good company. It's outrageous. FDA needs to get that thing off the market.

  7. That is scary. And the label says it contains nuts. What about nut allergies?

  8. Did you notice the warning:

    Treats Food Allergies
    Warning: Contains Nuts & Seafood

I find it interesting that a product that claims to be a panacea for allergies has a warning.

  11. That is scary. It needs to get off the shelves before someone gets hurt.

  12. this is very alarming.

as if the product itself wasnt shocking enough, the price is scary also. i hope people dont fall for the "its expensive so it must work" line of reasoning.
