What dairy-free foods can you find at the county fair? Pack your own sandwich and water bottle for dinner, then choose from these items:
French fries (made from fresh potatoes at a stand that sells only french fries--no cross-contamination)
Cotton candy
Roasted peanuts
Kettle corn
Fresh-squeezed lemonade
Candy apples
Italian/Hawaiian/shaved ice

Yummy - can we join you?
ReplyDeleteI could probably survive on just those food items.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm. . .we've also found that fried dough (NOT funnel cakes) is milk-free as long as they do not splash that buttery-sauce on it at the end. It is worth it to ask first though!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. We went to two fairs in the past two weeks and I think I've had my fill of that food!
That's not a bad list at all! I could totally have some county fair fun with those!
ReplyDeleteFairly Odd Mother--I did NOT know that! That is some dangerously good information. :)
ReplyDeleteI also have a severe dairy allergy and I thought that candy apples are covered in caramel which usually contains dairy.. or am i wrong?
ReplyDeleteHi, Karen! Caramel apples have dairy; candy apples (which are covered in red candy coating) do not.
ReplyDeleteGot it. Thanks for clarification!
