'Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy

(I love misheard lyrics.)

We LOVE this cookbook.

When I cleaned out the basement, I found a few small toys, some of which were mine, and some of which were freebies Scott received from companies he used to work with (a Matchbox truck, etc.). Ta da! Instant Valentine's Day gifts! Right now, I'm looking at Valentine printables. These lunchbox jokes are perfect for Katherine. Yes, I've been reading The Complete Tightwad Gazette-- Shut up.

I think I'll bake a cherry pie this weekend. Red = Valentine. Cherries = Presidents' Day (which is Monday). Two holidays for the price of one dessert!

What are you doing for Valentine's Day?

  2. Love the Tightwad Gazette!!! Read it from cover to cover! :)

The hubs and I are going out for dinner & a movie for V-Day. The kids get Burger King, a movie rental and a babysitter that they adore! Win - win! :)

  4. I once thought the song "Rollercoaster of love" was "No me gusta the love." Yeah.

We're going to this little casino in WI to play roulette and sit in the jacuzzi. It's so much fun!

  5. I second the genius on cherry pie!

I feel like it has been V-day for a week! My husband already gave me a really sweet gift, and I had the kitchen a big mess making those choc-pb-pretzel hearts.

For Valentine's Day I think we are actually taking grandma out for Japanese. Now that she has discovered tempura, she actually wants to go to a sushi restaurant!

  6. I wish that someone at home besides me, liked cherry pie. Wait...maybe that's not such a bad thing.

I think we are going to do valentine cutouts on Saturday. Yay!

Cherry pie sounds yummy! Very good idea.

I'm thinking about making the Chocolate Raspberry blackout cake from Vegan with a Vengeance. Its my husband's favorite cake.

  8. Love the tightwad gazette! We're having the playgroup families over for playtime and dinner since none of us are going out for a romantic dinner alone. Cherry pie is genius!
