A Kindergarten Tale:
D. accidentally spills his cheese crackers at snacktime. They land near Katherine, who wisely doesn't touch them. M. and L. come over and clean up the spill. (D. helps, too.)
M. says, "We just saved Katherine's life!"

That is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI don't know whether to laugh or to say, "Well, that's true. Good job!" :)
ReplyDeleteBecky-- I know!
ReplyDeleteThat is very sweet. My 2 year old is struggling to understand her big sister's allergy. She will occasionally come out with, "We need to give Kayla dairy to make her sick." We're working on it. :)
ReplyDeleteSue - It is hard, isn't it? Eli is having difficulty understanding, too.
ReplyDeleteLove it! My son has always had a couple of school buddies who have been his protectors and champions. One pal was ready to kill a kid on the bus for throwing around some cheese doodles. It's always nice to have a food allergy knight in shining armor nearby.
ReplyDeleteKids are awesome and they understand so much more than we give them credit for. Great story!
