New year, SOS

We have mice.
Christmas and Thanksgiving were great. Very low key.
So was the December visit with family.
Katherine had wonderful dairy-free food experiences.
She went on her first overnight trip without her parents, and it went perfectly.
Probably because she was with her grandparents and aunt and uncle.
One of my favorite relatives died.
I dreamed about visiting with her the other night.
I love having four children.
Four is enough.
I am in the process of a MAJOR house cleaning.
Hoarders motivates me.
Only the basement to go.
Tell me about your affordable basement remodel stories.
Graham is the best baby ever.
He's four months old and is growing way too fast.
I look forward to the space that will be created when we hand down baby items.
I never thought I'd say that.
I don't know how to do everything I need to do AND blog.
I miss you.
You are important to me, despite evidence to the contrary.
Have I mentioned the pinehole mice?

  2. Ug MICE. Hate hate hate.

So sorry for your loss. That stinks and right around the holidays, too. :(

We miss you, too! I know how hard it is to fit it all in. I WOULD like to know more about this house cleaning thing. Maybe it would motivate me to get my own things in order.

  3. Oh no, not mice! =(

I am motivated by Hoarders, too. I've never actually watched the show, but just knowing that it's out there is enough motivation to get rid of this accumulating crap.

  4. What, you have four kids - one an infant - and you're having difficulties finding time to blog? What?

I've missed you! Glad to see this post. We renovated our basement 6 1/2 years ago. Mostly we just painted the panelboard, removed a wall, and put carpet over the linoleum. It was a 1970's dream basement, now it is a nice playspace.

  5. Well, the mice strike again. Believe me when I say you have my sincerest sympathies, having been there all too recently myself. I about lost my dang mind.

  6. I recently discovered mouse droppings in the laundry room. We don't know if the cat is killing them (yay, cat!) or if he's the one bringing them in and then letting them go into the house (boo, cat).

I am sorry about your beloved relative.

  7. Our cat brought a live mouse up from the basement to our bed and let it go. It ran across my arm. In the dark. We spent the next hour capturing it and then releasing it down the road b/c neither of us could kill it. I feel for you.

    We miss you too!

I'm glad things are going well for you guys. And I totally understand the busyness. We'll let you slide with a post every once in a while. ;)
