I don't think I would have been able to convince my principal that I was educating my students by taking them to anything Disney related :)But I bet the kids are so excited and will talk about it for days!

I will pass on to you what many other teachers passed on to me when I started teaching elementary school. The best cure for a day long field trip: a warm foot bath, a glass of red wine, and something chocolate.

Come to think of it, that is probably a good remedy for a toddler tantrum day too!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38727197.post-55742054581642678802009-03-06T14:06:00.000-05:002009-03-06T14:06:00.000-05:00Time always seems to stop on field trips. We went to the Museum of Science and Industry. I had 11 kids in my group. The whole time I was counting, 1,2,3,4, etc...

Not so much fun!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38727197.post-27707074453874544902009-03-06T12:35:00.000-05:002009-03-06T12:35:00.000-05:00Ahh, field trips. I grew up in a very small town, ...Ahh, field trips. I grew up in a very small town, so all of our field trips were ALL day events. We had to get to school super early at 6 or 7 am and didn't get back until dinnertime, b/c there were sometimes 2 or 3 hour drives.

My mom went on one with my cousin and I (we were in the same grade) and it was a dis.as.ter. They'd coupled 2 trips in one - the circus and some performance by Sesame street characters. There were 2 shifts, and ea. saw either in the morning or afternoon. It didn't go as planned, though, and some of us missed our afternoon performance.

That was the first, and last, field trip she ever helped with. As a kid I never understood why she wouldn't come along on my field trips, but now, looking back - I do!

Good luck!!Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02170704307873703753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38727197.post-51231584366995041962009-03-06T10:51:00.000-05:002009-03-06T10:51:00.000-05:00I wish I had something better to say, but I just w...I wish I had something better to say, but I just woke up and brain isn't working yet.
