I baked the bread in a mini-loaf pan (with 4 mini-loaves). So they were half the size of a normal loaf. Plus I let them bake a little too long. But I will remember that foil trick. My husband still loved the bread. I froze most of it, and he likes to pull a loaf out every now and then.
